Ontarians ... last!

While Mr. Hudak was busy failing to inspire, lead, or do anything radically "tea-party" like (such as lowering taxes or decreasing the size of government), Mother McGuinty came up from the rear (as liberals love to do) and released his new butt-kicking platform.

Inspired by Hudak's flailing in the wind, dear Mother has announced that Ontario businesses are eligible for a tax credit of ten thousand dollars if they hire a new immigrant.  As opposed to someone already here.

Why do liberals hate us and themselves so much that they insist on putting us last for everything?  Does it make sense to punish your tax paying base by encouraging more people to enter your province to compete for even fewer jobs?

It does make sense if your base is unemployed, non-tax paying, socio-economically depressed people.  And if that is your base, doesn't it make sense to keep your base unemployed, non-tax paying, and socio-economically depressed?

By the way, does he mean new Canadian immigrant (in which case, immigration policy and inducement is the sole purview of the Federal Government), or Ontario immigrant (in which case Quebecers can take our jobs)?

All the same, all I ask is that, as a tax payer, someone please explain why we should recruit more people from outside, when there are not enough jobs for people on the inside?

I'll get back to my tea party now.
